the berkeley born climber and photographer galen rowell and his wife barbara died yesterday in a plan crash outside of bishop, california.
in my short time in the bay area i have continually felt rowell's strong presence in the climbing community and i am saddened by this great loss.

my long lost friend greg recently tied the knot! wow! congrats greg! good to hear from you!
greg has also been busy couragiously defending our country as a chief of maintenance engineering in the air force.
he was recently stationed in oman for operation enduring freedom.
it's always fun to hear from old friends. thanks man!
